Sunset Flight
A Roseate Spoonbill flies across the salt marsh this evening lit by warm setting sunlight…
I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.

Gorgeous.
Hey thanks! 🙂
What a great image. Lots of neat abstract shapes. The action you catch in your shots says so much about the character of the animals you capture. Great job!
Well I greatly appreciate your very kind words, thanks so much!
The very definition of amazing.
I appreciate that very much Charlie, thank you.
Fabulous light for the spoonie. Top shot.
I’m happy you enjoyed this spoonie shot Andrew, thanks!

🙂
Well I really do appreciate you checking out the spoonie pics!
I am so envious of your little neck of the woods… or is it marsh? Breathtaking photo!
Well we do have some woods surrounding the marsh, but we have the beach and ocean on the east side too! 🙂
Thanks for looking!
Wonderful colour saturation in the late sunlight 🙂
Thanks very much glad you liked seeing the evening spoonbill!
Love him in that light, with the colors and texture of the background. 🙂
It’s my favorite time to get out there and it’s always a treat when one cooperates and shows up in nice light.
That wonderful light gives a whole new meaning to roseate!
Thank you for checking out this photo and glad you liked seeing our goofy pink bird in nice light!
How beautiful, between the lighting and that beautiful bird, it just takes your breath away.
I truly appreciate your very kind words Linda, thanks much!
This is so gorgeous, Phil. The rosy glow of the sun on his wings is amazing. 🙂
Thank you Sylvia, glad you liked seeing our pink friend!
Beautiful shot! Love the golden lighting here…that’s some of the best light.
On a side note, Phil, I just thought I’d let you know there no longer seems to be a way to like your blog posts. I usually go through every few weeks and read all the blogs I follow, and mark the ones I like. I haven’t been able to do that on your blog for a little while now.
Thanks very much it’s good to hear you liked this spoonie shot!
Odd about the like feature, I’ll try to track down a possible fix for that. Could be just a WP glitch that might end up fixing itself, it’s happened before. Thanks for mentioning it.
