Yesterday evening, as both the day and the sun were winding down, this tricolored heron enjoys a quiet moment alone in the marsh.

  Thanks much! This was one where I saw it with my own eyes before bringing up the camera and was happy when I looked through the viewfinder and realized that the scene could be captured just as it appeared. Sometimes it works out.
