I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.
Brown Pelican backlit and silhouetted by late day sun on a recent late afternoon in the marsh. Despite the day winding down, he was still out there fishing trying to come up with a meal before heading off for the night.

I always like that yellowish late afternoon light!

Thank you Charlie, yes I tried to make the best of the back lighting I had. Sometimes no choice but to go full on silhouette. 🙂

Most everybody out there was getting something. Of course the cormorants were getting most of everything. Those guys can clear out a lake in no time.
