I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.
Earlier this week I was watching a tricolored heron fishing in the salt marsh among the oyster beds.
He popped back a few of these nice tasty little treats. Such a smart, energetic little heron!
Sta mangiando di gusto il piccolo airone.
Molto bella la foto caro Phil.
I love these dainty little birds, Phil. Great shot, Phil. 🙂
They really are fun active and colorful little guys. Thanks for checking this out Sylvia!
The little fish sees what’s coming. Poor guy. Nice catch yourself, Phil.
That little fish was getting the ride of his life there. Well… what was left of his short life. 😦
They are right cute!
They are fun, active herons and always fun to watch and photograph!
Not only is it eating, but this guy makes it look fun to eat. I would never stop!
That is an excellent point and something we can all learn from and incorporate into our own daily meals.
I think I’ll try tossing my dinner around tonight and see how it works out. What could wrong?
A little snack.
It’s funny how some birds, even some of the bigger ones, will be perfectly happy eating a bunch of tiny fish while others will sit and wait for hours for one big score.
Beautiful shot and beautiful bird, love the clarity and colors….
Thanks so much These really are fun active colorful little herons and I always enjoy seeing one in action out there.
