Quick Treat
Earlier this week I was watching a tricolored heron fishing in the salt marsh among the oyster beds.
He popped back a few of these nice tasty little treats. Such a smart, energetic little heron!
I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.

The little fish sees what’s coming. Poor guy. Nice catch yourself, Phil.

That little fish was getting the ride of his life there. Well… what was left of his short life. 😦

That is an excellent point and something we can all learn from and incorporate into our own daily meals.
I think I’ll try tossing my dinner around tonight and see how it works out. What could wrong?

It’s funny how some birds, even some of the bigger ones, will be perfectly happy eating a bunch of tiny fish while others will sit and wait for hours for one big score.
