I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.
This fish seems to be quite aware it is having a bad day which is just about to get much worse.
An egret fishing in the salt marsh earlier this week caught this guy, sending our poor little friend in the sea to his untimely demise.
Once that moment hits, it has to be a bad feeling.
He certainly looks like he’s saying “uh oh”… poor little guy!
Yeah he really does. Not a good day for our fishy friend.
Oh dear. I love your capture.
Thanks so much for looking and commenting!
Death becomes us 😇
Our little fishy friend has seen his last.
I have always said that if I had to kill my own food, I would be a veggie (hypocritical, I know) but I guess the egret doesn’t have the option! Great shot, Phil!
Our egret friend likes his food alive and kicking. In fact, the more kicking the better. 🙂
Great catch (for both of you!) and a terrific summary of this moment in time! ;-D
A moment that is over far too soon for our little fish here, but so it goes in nature.
Never knew fish had expressive faces!! Great shot.
