I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.
They come too close too often believe it or not. Today I had a spoonbill fly toward and I swear I could have reached out and grabbed his leg as he flew over me. I was quickly choked with too much glass.
Glad you liked these shots Steve!
Quanto le invidio queste tue splendide foto, sono fenomenali. Wowwwww e ancora wowwwww
Ciaoo, Pat
La ringrazio molto Sono felice che ti piace le foto 😀
Fantastic photos, Phil. He sure looks very proud of himself. I won’t even mention the look in that poor fishie’s eyes. 😉
I knew the fish face was going to get you Sylvia. Glad you like the photos though. 🙂
I forgive you. 🙂
😀
Great capture!!
Thanks very much for checking them out!
Love your lessons in the art of fishing.
Thanks Charlie but this guy does all the work! 🙂
Great shots, wonderful details.
Very glad you liked them Jan.
Down the hatch. I’m fascinated by the egret’s eyes. That second shot! LOL!
He is funny in the second shot isn’t he?! 🙂
Well, it did make me laugh! 🙂
Me too!
Wonderful photos! Lucky you. 🙂
He actually did this twice, I couldn’t believe it.
Wonderful pictures of the egret and his breakfast.
Thank you and he seemed very happy with is meal. 🙂
That’s a very nice touch! But he hasn’t shared it with you, right? What a pity! 😛
No sharing for this bird, I would have to catch my own, but he is better at that then me. 😀
Everybody’s got a fish story. Only this guy can’d exaggerate — you’ve got it all on film.
His story will have to be about quantity rather then quality. He actually did this twice while I was standing there.
Spectacular shots Phil.
Thank you Edith, glad you enjoyed them.
Awww… now you’re just rubbing it in! I am soooo utterly jealous.
I guess I shouldn’t tell you the egret did this twice while I was standing there, brought the fish right over to me.
No, you definitely shouldn’t! 😉
I’ll leave that part out then. 😉
Wow! Talk about being in the right place at the right time! You lucky man! Great pictures!
It wasn’t luck, I checked his breakfast schedule for the day and knew when he would be dining, and just showed up. 😉 😀
Don’t you love it when they come too close for the 300? 🙂 Super bunch of shots, Phil.
