Spring Wild Flowers
People are often after me to branch out and try something a little different from the usual birds and alligators I normally post. Flowers were a consideration, so with that in mind, I thought this nice array of colorful wildflowers growing along the edge of the marsh pond might make a welcome and pleasant change!
You weren’t kidding about the flowers! Thankfully they don’t obstruct the view!
These big dopey reptiles have a lot of nerve, photo bombing my flower shot! 😡
A little change is always good, but somehow I don’t envision you switching to a macro lens and doing close-ups of the flowers.
I think you are right about that Mike, and I can’t even borrow Lyle’s macro lens because he sold it. 🙂
Those are lovely. Even younger Mr. A looks spring-like here! 🙂
He looks a little sleepy but that’s what happens on a warm spring day when you are daydreaming among the flowers.
Very good photos. Have a good weekend 😉
Thanks very much for looking and commenting!
Un diversivo che è molto bello Phil, rendono la foto primaverile!!
Buon fine settimana. Ciao, Pat
Spero sia stata una bella primavera foto. 🙂
Grazie Pat!
I almost didn’t recognize this photo was taken by you because I could barely see the alligator behind all of those beautiful flowers….love the purple text!
Those stupid flowers jumped in and photo bombed my alligator shot!
Always a winner!
Thanks for checking this out Becky!
Should have tucked one of the flowers behind Mr A’s ear…… does he even HAVE ears???
Good question about the ears, I pet the cat between the ears not sure where to pet Mr. A.
The only thing he wants to see in the flowers is a cute little bunny rabbit.
Even with the title, I first notice the alligator still – but of course those are lovely flowers indeed 🙂
Well of course you have to notice our good friend Mr. Alligator! Thanks for looking and commenting!
Love the way you’ve composed this one! Beauty and the Beast? Hope you recovering ok, Phil
Thanks a million Maggie, glad you liked my look at something different!
Feeling pretty good today, thanks for asking.
Well done Phil, it’s good to show a bit of the natural environment.
Thanks Jan, and good point, I should think about showing more overall environmental shots.
I did some of that in today’s post.
Fantastic! Beautiful photo!
Well thanks a bunch Linda, glad you liked this one!
Lol! Funny post Phil!
I appreciate you checking it out Rick and glad you got a laugh out of it!
Very nice,,…. but you still couldn’t resist keeping that alligator in the photo!
Well… It’s mostly just an alligator photo that happens to have some scrubby slowers in it. 🙂
Uh huh!!!!
Ha!
AHHHH. The softer side of Mr. A!
He enjoys doing a little decorating around his pond. 🙂
Hey, he lives in a garden, lucky dog.
We should all have his life. He lays around in the sun all day, eats whatever he wants, and nobody messes with him.
This boy has it made!
Your title didn’t sound quite like you, Phil. Did you notice Mr A sneaking past, whilst you were concentrating on the pretty flowers? 😀
What?!? There’s an alligator in that photo? 😮
Just double checked and by golly you’re right! Leave it to Mr. A to photo bomb my flower shot.
What a smart aleck he is! 😀
He’s worse than that Cowboys and Crossbones woman. 😀
Ha! She’s the first one I thought of too! I bet they could team up and… uh, then again maybe they shouldn’t. The world is not ready. 😀
Gators and wildflowers, a good combination. 🙂
