Weekend Snacking
Weekends are often a great time for many of us to enjoy some tasty snacks. This past weekend I watched an anhinga taking full advantage of snack time by spearing, and then flipping some small fish snacks into the air and then catching them on the way down.
The anhinga is a bird who knows how to turn snack time into fun time!

Aw he’s such a show off. I can do that with M&Ms.
Of course I don’t have to swim fast under water and spear the M&Ms with my nose which could increase the difficulty some.

You know those “live chefs” who chop, dice, and cook right in front of you?! Wow, amazing capture, beautiful eyes, and I bet he was really enjoying that snack!

That bird is a lot faster then me, I can never spear fish on the end of my nose.

Thanks Linda and this anhinga was indeed in fairly close. It was just off the edge of the pond and did not at all care that I was following him around.
